The Pharmacy Daily Team

Pharmacy Daily is produced each day by a dedicated team of experienced professionals. Our aim is to be first with the news, bringing the pharmacy industry all of the relevant information it needs, as well as providing an entertaining and edifying read.

Pharmacy Daily’s staff include:

Bruce Piper, Editor

Email: bruce.piper@pharmacydaily.com.au

Bruce is a journalist with experience across a range of rounds, including technology and travel, who enjoys the challenges and triumphs of reporting on the pharmacy industry. Breaking news, writing in depth features, interviewing industry figures and sub-editing the publication – it’s all in a day’s work.

Mal Smith, Reporter

Email: mal.smith@pharmacydaily.com.au

Mal is a reporter with a sales and marketing background in the pharmaceutical industry, who manages the Health, Beauty and New Products section featured every week. Mal also manages Pharmacy Daily’s social media accounts, uploading new stories to Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn, so you can blame the bad puns on him.

Melanie Tchakmadjian, Sales, Production and Marketing Executive

Melanie looks after the advertising for Pharmacy Daily and is happy to work with anyone who wants to use the publication’s strong readership as a way to cost-effectively promote their products and services to the pharmacy sector.

Sarah Piper, Competitions Coordinator

Email: sarah@traveldaily.com.au

With a background in Ancient History and a general can-do attitude, Sarah can be contacted for all your pharmacy competition needs, and makes a mean sub-editor.

Bruce Piper, Publisher

Email: bruce.piper@pharmacydaily.com.au

Bruce is a qualified electrical engineer who changed his career completely when he and his wife Jenny moved into the publishing industry in 2004. Initially building up Travel Daily (see www.traveldaily.com.au), the pair saw a unique opportunity to extend the same publishing model into the pharmacy industry and the move has seen the establishment of a new way for people in pharmacy to keep up to date with the latest news.

As well as helping run the business, Bruce writes many of the stories in Pharmacy Daily and particularly enjoys the Dispensary Corner column. When he’s not working he enjoys spending time with their three teenage children as well as being involved with his local church.

Jenny Piper, Financial Controller

Email: jenny.piper@pharmacydaily.com.au

Jenny Piper (nee Harrison) is a pharmacist who graduated from Sydney University in 1993 and has worked in a range of community pharmacies in the Sydney CBD and suburbs, as well as spending some time as a pharmaceutical rep. Like most women, Jenny is a great multitasker, combining various roles within the business with running a family. Her day to day role sees her managing the company’s finances, staff and strategy.

When she’s not in the office Jenny enjoys spending time with friends and activities with her family. Her favourite place in the world is Vincentia on the NSW South Coast.
